    IMEO  (experienced opinion), JBooth is dead-on-the-money
right.  If you have a dedicated audio professional doing the
recording to DAT, you'll wind up with absolutely _luscious_ audio.
    However, on the practical side, the bulk of the population
of our society is regularly satisfied with far less than luscious.
For instance, high-end audio systems have been around quite a
while.  What do most people listen to?  Cassettes & CD's on boom
boxes & modular stereos.
    Why?  Good is good enough for most people.  When S-VHS came
out, industrial types said, "Thank you God."  The consumer said,
"Let's see.  $400 more for an S-VHS deck, and then I need to get a
new TV, for a picture that's noticeably better.  NOT!"
    When you go to a movie, do you notice the quality of the
print?  In my opinion, it _always_ sucks.  However, if it is a good
movie, I get sucked right in and forget about the print quality.  I
prefer to view video on a 35" TV monitor, but I can get engrossed
in a good program on an 8" set.
    Now I'll get to the point.  I strive to deliver luscious.
However, I don't hesitate to use audio or video from inferior
sources if the situation dictates such.  Even though the masses
might be unconsciously positively affected by extra-sweet audio (or
video, for that matter), I'll bet (there I go betting again) the
half-life of that effect is pretty darned small.  Unless, of
course, if you want to discuss long-term effects, and then maybe
that's the reason our society displays such dullness.

Then yes you'll have to do it through AREXX. I know it can be done. I just
can't do it!  :)

Infact Studio 16 communicates with the PAR through AREXX.
